Aahh, Summer...

This post will be short, as it's 12:12AM, but I felt compelled to sing the praises of summer. There are innumerable reasons as to why I truly love summer, but tonight, I love summer because I am relaxed by the amount of time I have. I put in a full nine hours this morning, and found myself stumbling on the internet- care free! Thus, I made my way to an amazing crafting project. I created a braided, layered necklace from my Dad's white T-shirt. I was amazed by how explicit the tutorial was, and I am very pleased with how the casual fashion piece turned out! I have a feeling I'll be making more-- bracelets too. 

Still getting used to blogging, but loving this outlet to share fun things that fill my day :)

Here goes nothin'...

Since the advent of Twitter, I have been picky about my social media outlets. I have resisted sweeping trends, and I'd even significantly decreased my Facebook status updates. [sigh] However, Twitter weaseled its way into the Midwest and directly onto my iPhone. Sans regrets, I've been pleasantly surprised as to how immediate and enlightening Twitter functions as a tool to keep updated- both globally and among family members. Blogging is another form of social media that I just couldn't bring myself to join, thinking, "What interesting life-y things could I possibly have to contribute?" But, I suppose I do have an inner dialogue of sorts. 

Thus! My blog. Welcome.
